A 11 year-old boy, Jordan Brown, in Pennsylvania is accused of shooting his dad's fiance, Kenzie Hoak, to death. Hoak was also eight months pregnant. He is believed to have done it with the youth-sized 20-gauge shotgun his father, Chris Brown, bought him for hunting. He allegedly shot her in the morning then tossed the gun outside his house before catching the school bus.

Knowing that he could have possibly done this his dad is still standing beside him through it all. Saying constantly that his son is innocent. He tells the reporter that, "he would never lie to me...we have had private conversations and if he had any memory I believe he would tell me". So to think that a son that is so 'good' can do something so horrible is very hard to believe. This video does show you that it is very possible for a 'good' person to do 'bad' things.

Why Good People Do Bad Things

In "Why Good People do Bad Things" Debbie Ford describes what she calls the "Beach Ball Effect". "Self-sabotage is a catalyst that can change our world in an instant," says Ford. The origin of self-sabotage is our dark side, or could be called the underbelly of the human psyche. She also disscusses how shame and denial feed our dark side. The only reaon it feeds our dark side is if we accepted our weknesses, flaws, and shortcomings as a natural part of our humanity, we would have the ability to ask for help when we are confronted with an impulse that we don't know hour to deal with. In a matter of minutes, when we least expect it, a rejected or unwanted aspect of ourselves can pop up and destroy our lives, our reputations, and all of our hard work.

In this book Ford makes it very clear that people can be good then when the least expect it, everything goes crashing down because they can not handle their emotions correctly and make the decision to do something wrong. We see these people that have all the dreams to begin with but their circumstances get the best of them and one wrong decision lands them on the news headlines, or on the front page of the newspaper. These very simple urges you think you would never i n your life have a problem with mnight one day get to you and snap to where you loose all of your dreams and all your hard work.
